Xi'an,Oct.10,2024-- Today, a ceremony marking the start of the AG600 aircraft full-scale fatigue test was held in Xi'an.
During the testing process, operations proceeded smoothly, with load applications being precise and in line with design expectations. This critical test will validate the analytical methods used to assess the aircraft's fatigue and damage tolerance, providing vital full-scale testing data for future aircraft lifespan extensions and modifications.
The AG600 full-scale fatigue test is the most complex and specialized full-aircraft fatigue test conducted to date, with the most intricate loading profile. It follows the full-scale static test as another key structural evaluation for the aircraft. This test is essential for verifying compliance with regulations on structural damage tolerance and fatigue evaluation, making it a crucial step in ensuring the aircraft’s long-term operational integrity.
In the lead-up to the test, the project team completed a series of preparatory steps, including test design, load spectrum development and multiple rounds of approval, fatigue test rig assembly, installation of test equipment, and pre-test manufacturing compliance checks. These efforts have laid a solid foundation for the AG600’s certification and airworthiness.
